Just did the ribbon cutting for Genos Pizza in Tempe with Howard and Julie from my networking group, and honestly the smile on my face says it all.

Howard's the new owner over there, Julie runs Camp Bow Wow, and seeing people you actually know doing their thing and growing, that's the good stuff right there.

Not just where the house is, but what’s around it.

The businesses. The traffic. The places you’ll actually go. The stuff that makes one area feel completely different from another one five minutes away.

I’ve had buyers get locked in on one neighborhood, then realize the better fit was right down the road.

Not every deal is going to be as clean as this sunset.

Sometimes there’s an inspection issue.

Sometimes the numbers don’t make sense.

Sometimes the house is fine, but the deal around it isn’t.

And sometimes I’m going to tell you something you probably don’t want to hear.

That’s okay.

I’d rather be straight with you now than have you find out later that we should’ve paid more attention.

Not every referral somebody sends me turns into a transaction.

And honestly, that’s fine.

Sometimes somebody moves.

Sometimes they just need to talk through a situation with someone who knows what they’re looking at.

Sometimes the answer is, “Don’t do anything yet.”

I’m good with all of those.

There’s still no bigger compliment than somebody trusting me enough to give my name to a friend or family member.

So if you’ve ever made that introduction, thank you. I don’t take it lightly.
