According to a recent survey by LendingTree, 85% of the surveyors would rather own a home than rent, which is great news! However, the survey also shows that 48% of renters worry if it will ever even be possible for them to buy a home.
The top objections they have when it comes to home-buying are: not being able to afford down payment, home prices are too high, or their credit score makes it difficult to get approved.
This data truly shocked me. Most, if not all of these objections, can be solved through credit repair, down payment assistance, and first-time homebuyer programs (check out the link in the comments for more on these). I would hate to find out someone I know, or someone you know, isn’t buying a home because of an obstacle I could easily help them with.
If you, or somebody you know, is in this position, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or share this post so I can help get somebody into their first or next home!
