Today yet again made me realize why real estate is the perfect career for me. I was able to hand over the keys to this beautiful young family's first home. It's crazy to think that just a couple months ago, I met them at one of my open houses, and now we are here. This was a major step for them, and I'm beyond grateful that they put all of their trust in me to get it done. We went through quite the journey to find them their perfect home. Just like I do for every client, I went the extra mile to make sure that they had a stress-free home buying experience the whole way through. When I got to see the level of excitement and the huge smile on their faces as I handed them the keys today, I can honestly say that there's no better feeling in the world. It's this moment for every deal of mine, that not only keeps me working hard for all of my clients, but reminds me why I LOVE real estate. To top it off, the family gave me a gift card to express their appreciation for all of my hard work. Everyone needs that affirmation every once in a while that they are doing a job well done, and with this gift card, my clients provided that to me. Here's a deal of mine that just closed, and holds a very special place in my heart. Today, I was able to hand my client the keys to his forever home. This is a client who I had met while picking up the signs to my open house that I had just closed down. I had dropped everything to let him see the home, and although that particular home hadn't worked for him, it was from there that I was able to guide him in his journey of finding the perfect home.

Once I found him the perfect home, I was able to negotiate a purchase price below what the home ended up appraising for. In addition, I was able to get the sellers to pay a majority of his closing costs. Then, a couple of weeks before closing, we had received a letter from the HOA requesting that the entire exterior of the home be re-painted within a year. This could have been a deal breaker, however I was able to get the sellers to agree to re-paint the home for my buyers.

However, what makes this deal so special to me is the relationship that had formed between my client and I. Through getting to know one another, I learned that we both shared an interest in racquetball. Now, every Thursday we go play. This is a friendship that I believe will last for many many years. It's having experiences like this that make me realize why real estate is the perfect career for me.

Getting to meet so many great people, and help them with one of the biggest decisions they'll ever make is such an honor to me. At the end of the day, it's my clients that drive me to work so hard. It was through the top-notch resources (lender, inspector,etc.) that I provided, my 24/7 availability, and most importantly the care that I had for my client, that helped him not only get the deal of a lifetime, but also have a smooth, stress-free home buying experience.
