🚨 Arizona Squatter Update 🚨
Not everyone living in a property without permission is legally considered a squatter.
Generally considered squatters:
✅ Strangers who enter and occupy a vacant property without permission
✅ Individuals with no lease, ownership interest, or legal right to be there
✅ People who refuse to leave after unlawfully taking possession
Generally NOT considered squatters:
❌ Current or former tenants
❌ Family members
❌ Roommates
❌ Guests who overstayed
❌ Anyone claiming a legal right to occupy the property
Arizona has created a faster process to remove true squatters, but many occupancy disputes still require a different legal process.
Every situation is different. When in doubt, speak with an attorney before taking action.
