Are you aware your Lender can lock your loan rate?

Be Sure your lender locks your rate! When I purchased my first home in the 80's, my lender at the time did not lock my rate and I ended up with a 16-18% Interest rate. Yes, that high! I guess thats why 7% seems low to me :)
