Ever since she was a little girl working hard on the family farm alongside her father, she proved herself as a hard working person and was taught that you must work hard to get anywhere in life. One of her hobbies and dreams as a child was to be an Architect. She would draw homes, landscape and people for hours. She received an Art Scholarship in high school and then went on to college at Northwes

t Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. After leaving college, she didn't continue the pursuit in Architecture, but did land in the industry, selling Real Estate. Real Estate has since become her passion. Prior to Real Estate she was a Business Analyst for Dunn and Bradstreet and Office Manager for Johnson Controls. Kate's experience is strong and diverse. Her Real Estate adventures started out as an Appraiser in Illinois. Her spouse, Greg, was transferred to North Carolina and she was the trailing spouse. She wanted to get back into Real Estate and landed a career in new homes sales working for Washington/Westminster Homes. There Kate proved her knowledge, passion and skill and in less than two years, she was awarded the Silver and Gold Awards from the National Association of Home Builders in 1995 and 1996. She also received Sales Person of the Year in 1995 and 1996 from Washington/Westminster Homes. Upon many vacations to Arizona, they desired for a movie from the East Coast to the West and off they went. Arizona's wonderful climate, opportunity and overall beauty led them here. Kate started working for Russ Lyon Realty Company, a family owned boutique style Real Estate firm in the Valley since 1947. Kate, her husband Greg and daughter Grace love calling Arizona home. With over 29 years of experience and having served over 900 families, you will rest assure that Kate is your Realtor for Life. Kate has Real Estate licenses in North Carolina, California and Arizona. Opening doors for over 3 decades....

Over 2,000 families served... and somehow, I still get excited every time I hand over the keys.
Looking back, I'm incredibly grateful for every client who trusted me with one of the biggest decisions of their lives. My business has been built on hard work, referrals, repeat clients, and the incredible support of families who continue to come back and send their friends and loved ones my way.
And yes... I've seen just about everything: The "this is THE one!" house... until the next showing. Packing day panic. Happy tears at closing. And enough moving boxes to build a small neighborhood.

"If I could give Kathy Harris more than five stars, I would. We owned one of the most beautiful homes I’ve ever lived in everything brand new, breathtaking mountain views, a giant lap pool with a diving board, peace and quiet with no neighbors for miles. You could literally hear a donkey braying in the distance. Inside, it was perfect for a couple seeking simplicity, tranquility, and true desert beauty.

But despite all of that, this home was nearly impossible to sell in the Arizona market. It was unique, and not everyone understood hauled water something completely new to us as well.
