An unpopular opinion from a Scottsdale real estate agent. 🤫

I’d rather lose a deal than rush someone into a home that doesn’t actually make sense for them.

Most people assume agents are always going to push buying because that’s how we get paid. I get it, but that mindset is exactly why so many people end up making one of the biggest decisions of their life under pressure they didn’t need to be under.

My job isn’t to convince you to do anything. It’s to give you the full picture, walk you through the math, and help you figure out what makes sense based on the life you’re actually living right now.

Sometimes that means writing an offer. Sometimes it means telling you to wait.

A few things you’ll never catch me doing as a Scottsdale realtor. 🛑

Real estate can feel like a sales game from the outside, and I get why!

Some people are simply focused on hitting the number, closing the deal, and moving on to the next one. That’s just never been the way I want to work.

For me, this job is so much more than handing over a set of keys.

It’s helping someone find a place that actually fits the way they want to live, and being someone they can count on long after the closing paperwork is done.

The agents worth working with are the ones who treat your money, your time, and your future like it matters.

Something to keep on your radar if you have kids or grandkids arriving between 2025 and 2028 👶🏻✨

This one is not exactly in my usual real estate lane, but I love sharing opportunities that could help families build for the future.

A new federally authorized investment program called “Trump Accounts” is introducing investment accounts for eligible children born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028.

A few quick highlights:

• Eligible children receive a $1,000 federal seed contribution to get started

• Family members and others may be able to contribute up to $5,000 annually (subject to program rules)

• Funds are invested in low-cost investment options and grow tax-deferred

• Parents manage the account until age 18, when control transfers to the child

One interesting distinction is that these accounts are designed to be broader than traditional education-only savings tools and may potentially support future goals like education, homeownership, business opportunities, and more.

For many families, this may not be an either/or conversation. It may simply become another tool to consider alongside existing planning strategies.

What every seller in Scottsdale needs to know before listing this summer.

The market has shifted, and the sellers winning right now are the ones paying attention. Not to headlines or doom-scroll predictions, but to the real numbers happening in their own neighborhood.

I’ve seen Scottsdale homeowners spend $40K on a kitchen remodel and wonder why they didn’t make it back at closing.

Meanwhile, the house down the street spent $400 on a coat of paint, spruced up their yard, and walked away with more.

I’ve walked through homes where the owner gutted the bathroom before listing and barely broke even.
