Living in Scottsdale has completely ruined my standards for a few things. 😅

Now I expect golden-hour desert sunsets on a random Tuesday (and a post-hike smoothie that actually hits) everywhere I go.

And every time I leave town, I’m reminded very quickly that apparently we’re a little spoiled here.

Apparently, a lot of things that would get some serious side eye in any other career. 😂

At this point, photographing water heaters, knowing strangers’ financial histories, and getting emotionally attached to houses I don’t even own all feel completely normal.

A strong launch is about more than putting a listing online and hoping the right buyer finds it.

Then comes the part that matters just as much: watching how the market responds and knowing what that response is telling you.

Listen up: these are the Scottsdale things you need to know to fit in 👉

Every city has its own little rules, opinions, habits, and shortcuts that somehow become common knowledge once you’ve been around long enough.

You start picking up on what everyone swears is “basically Scottsdale” (spoiler: it’s probably Phoenix), how certain places are actually pronounced (it’s “Kier-land,” not “Ky-er-land”), when to avoid the busiest spots (Old Town on a Saturday night unless you’re fully committed), and the little local habits that eventually just feel normal (parking in the tiniest sliver of shade like it’s a competitive sport).

I know I missed a few, so tell me the one Scottsdale thing everyone around here should know.
