EGO VERSUS GUT... WHICH IS MAKING YOUR DECISIONS? I'm no philosopher. But I do believe there's a difference between making a decision from your gut versus making a decision based on your ego.

A gut decision will be a reflection of what your intuition is saying. An ego decision will be a reflection of your self-importance.

Struggle can absolutely feel like failure. As a mom in business this hits home.

Sometimes the scales tip more in one direction than another- This week Mom took all my time, or this week business took all my time.

No matter where the time is allotted, I can't help but feel I should be doing better in the other aspect.

This is a kind reminder to myself that it is just "THE STRUGGLE," and not failure at all- merely, part of the journey!

I'm a sucker for a bright statement chair in a living room. A good place to add a pop of color and tie the rest of the room in with the rug and throw pillows! I may be a little biased because orange is my favorite color and screams desert sunset, but I've seen it done beautifully with many colors!

Open floor plans, while beautiful can be a challenge to plan an inviting living room layout. This design does a nice job of being inviting and still giving the space to keep the open view.
