Opendoor will be sending nearly 55,000 home sellers who sold their homes using the discount broker will receive checks after the company settled a lawsuit alleging that it misled home owners into selling their homes for less than what they could have gotten on the open market. BIG SURPRISE!! Not....

The Federal Trade Commission on Wednesday announced that it was sending nearly $62 million in refunds to sellers who were "deceived by advertising and marketing claims" made by Opendoor. The median refund is expected to be $1,024.

Other discount or same practice brokerages as Openoor should be biting their nails right now as the FTC has their eyes on them as well.

Mexico Peso ‘eclipses’ US dollar, trades at 16.30. Asserting that the Mexican peso had “eclipsed” the US dollar on a day on which the moon totally obscured the view of the sun from parts of North America, the El Financiero newspaper reported that the peso was the world’s best-performing emerging market currency in Monday trading.

The Mexican peso was trading at its strongest exchange rate against the dollar since August 2015 on Monday, thanks to three factors.
