I can’t believe it’s been 28 years since I became a mom… and a nurse, tutor, therapist, chef, Uber driver (before Uber existed), life coach, and human snack dispenser. Loving you pulled a joy out of me that I never knew existed — and a level of strength no gym could’ve prepared me for.
Somehow we both survived, and look at you now. The seeds of all those long nights and “figure-it-out” days grew into a man who is disciplined, determined, and wiser than most people twice his age. You pursue wisdom, build your dreams with intention, and show love in ways that don’t need a spotlight. You chase purpose the way some people chase attention — quietly, consistently, with zero desire for applause.
And then there’s that shell. 😂
Let’s just call it… premium emotional packaging. Because once someone cracks through, they find the most loyal, thoughtful, soft-hearted human who loves deeply and pays attention to everything and everyone that matters — even while staying locked in on his career.
You are the harvest of every late night, every prayer, every sacrifice, and every joy. And being your mom is still the greatest title I’ll ever hold.
Happy 28th — I’m endlessly proud of you.
