There's been some talk about whether mortgage rates could climb to 9%. Here's some perspective.

Getting there would take a rare mix of things, all lasting a full year: a booming economy with no slowdown in jobs, the Fed raising rates more than expected, and the conflict in Iran continuing to keep oil prices high.

That's an unlikely combination. So, don’t let it make you worry.

Have questions about mortgage rates? Drop them in the comments. That's what a trusted agent is for – keeping you informed so a headline never makes your decisions for you.

Maybe the adversity you're facing has a purpose you can't see yet.

Instead of asking, “Why is God allowing this to happen to me?” ask, “What is God allowing me to learn through this?”

Sometimes the hardest experiences develop the greatest leaders—giving us empathy, compassion, resilience, and the ability to help others through what we've already walked through.

The goal isn't just to find a way around the obstacle for yourself.

It's to learn how to create a path forward for everyone.

What you've survived may eventually become the wisdom someone else needs.

I've spent a lot of my life thinking about what creates success. People often ask me what drove me to work as hard as I did, to keep going when things were difficult, or to build the businesses and organizations I have today.
