Prior to moving to Scottsdale, Arizona, I lived and worked in Akron, Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio, as well as Waukegan, Evanston and Chicago, Illinois. I can't predict the future, but I expect that there will be a substantial influx of California migrants to the Phoenix/Scottsdale areas in the next 12 months and beyond--more so than we already have, which is very significant. Resale homes will be impacted positively for sellers (higher prices), and new construction prices could go even higher due to a loss of labor to the government funded re-build in California. Just my two cents.
