We've all been hearing the noise🔊 lately of holding out for interest rates to drop back down to what they were three years ago. The truth is, we cannot predict the future. It's possible we may NEVER see rates that low again. However, what we CAN predict is what we know to be true historically when investing in real estate:

🏠If/when interest rates drop, the buyer pool will be larger, and demand will increase. Cue the seller's market. This means prices will continue to go up (classic supply/demand model).

🏠Imagine if you are interested in a home that's $300k now, then the rates drop and demand soars as the buyer pool swells. That $300k sticker price just went up!

🏠Real estate appreciates in value. It does not go down in value. You will be sitting pretty in that $300k house knowing you avoided another rough seller's market and price increases should rates drop. Not only that, you just made money on your investment!

The time to buy a house is NOW and start building equity! Buyers make their money up front on a good purchase price, not on a rate that you can refinance. We all get hung up on the debt to income ratios and monthly payments. When the price of the house goes up and rates go down, not much changes! 💍Marry the house, date the rate!
