This is definitely good news for the real estate market for both buyers and sellers. On the average, Interest rates are down to 6.95% compared to the 2023 high of 7.79% in October. Better news is many financial analysts and lenders I work with all agree rates will continue to come down in 2024. If you are a buyer who retreated due to higher rates, now's the time to re-engage with your lender. I work with some very experienced lenders and am happy to connect you.

San Diego ranked #1 out of the top 20 metro markets in the country for Home Price Improvement – comparing month over month appreciation based on August data. This data supports my opinion that despite low inventory and higher interest rates, the San Diego real estate market remains and I expect it to remain strong. We all are anxiously awaiting better news regarding interest rates for home buyers. I am tracking this information carefully and will be posting more info from the Chief Economist from the National Association of Realtors, but hoping the following information will give more clarity to potential home buyers about the future of interest rates. Most experts are in agreement we should see a decline in 2024.
