*OPEN HOUSE Saturday 12/3 11:00-1:00*
33867 Southshore Dr, Cullaby Lake

Top three reasons you should come to the Open House even though this listing is already pending:

1. We're still accepting backup offers!
2. Research - if you're currently in the market or thinking about buying soon, this is a great opportunity to see what a house in this price range looks like.
3. Hot Cocoa! We'll have a delicious hot cocoa bar and who can say no to a festive drink on a cold day?

I am so excited to share this new listing with you! I've spent a considerable amount of time in this home in the last week and have absolutely fallen in love with it and I can't wait for you to see it! Cullaby Lake is my dream neighborhood, so you can see why it so easily won me over. This house has so much space, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room and a den, a walk in closet, and it's waterfront! You're right on the canal with a private dock and direct lake access. Check out the aerial view with the lake, beach, and Tillamook head all at your doorstep. A big shout out to Broken Banjo Photography for these stunning photos!

New listing coming up later this week, I can’t share the address with you quite yet, but I did meet some of the neighbors today if that gives you a hint.

I’m a day late posting, but November’s stop was Tillamook. The day started with some downtown shopping at Anderson Florists where I picked up a couple of face masks from Dirt Bag Beauty who donates a portion of their sales to domestic violence shelters, thank you Anderson Florists for carrying meaningful brands. Then on to the day’s best find, one of my new favorite stores, Madeline's Vintage Marketplace, I can’t quite tell you what I got there because I did some Christmas shopping and don’t want to ruin the surprise by posting it on Facebook, but I can tell you that they have an absolutely charming selection of seasonal and year round home goods, as well as some products from local artisans. We made a quick stop at Blue Heron Creamery for some specialty mustards and of course to visit with their feathery friends. Next on the list was lunch at Nani Papa'a-Teri-Trucky Mobil, I have been a fan of theirs for years and this is the advice I can offer for your next visit: there are no bad choices, everything I have tried from this food truck has been delicious, and come hungry, the portions are generous to say the least. We wrapped up the day with dessert at Tillamook Creamery and picked up some treats in the gift shop from Portland Pet Food Company in Lily’s all time favorite flavor - gingerbread! We drove home full, happy, and enjoying the panoramic views all the way to Seaside.

You all know how much I love key day and this one was even better because it was a surprise early key day! Pretty often closing gets postponed for one reason or another, but it’s a rare treat when I get to call a client and surprise them with an early close. I’m so happy for this wonderful family, this house is the perfect fit for them. They were a dream to work with and I’m selfishly a little sad that they won’t be part of my work day anymore, but so happy for them that their hard work has paid off and they are now in their new home!

I spent a lovely rainy day in Manzanita for this month’s stop. You may have caught on by now, but coffee is a definite staple for all my stops, so I started the day off right at Manzanita News and Espresso. I took my coffee to go and headed to the beach, but just as I pulled up it started to rain so instead I had breakfast with a view from my car. Lily girl was of course along for the ride and we did a little shopping at Four Paws on the Beach, you can see her in the pictures taking a quick sample of our goods. My surprise find this month was Wild Grocery and Cafe, it was my first time in but now it’s my new reason to stop in Manzanita every time I pass by. Fresh produce, bulk teas, a case of yummy lunch offerings including many vegan options, and a wonderful prepared tea menu, too! The wonderful thing about Manzanita is how deeply art runs through it’s veins. Every detail seems lovingly crafted, nooks and crannies of the architecture are filled tiny works of art, driving through the neighborhoods you’ll find beautiful hand painted garden art and each house seems to have a personality of it’s own. So when you’re planning your next trip to Manzanita, schedule plenty of time to soak in every detail.

Summer is winding down and our last edition of Farmer’s Market Local Love is here. I spent Sunday, like I spend many Sundays, admiring local art, picking up produce, and snacking my way down 12th Street at the Astoria Sunday Market. This is our biggest market with the longest season on the North Coast. It’s also Lily’s favorite, she gets to come every time and always meets a few dozen new dog friends. It’s a great way to spend a day off and perfect timing for you to pick up all your needs before you start the week, it runs every Sunday from May 9th-October 10th from 10:00-3:00.

The Cannon Beach Farmer’s Market is this month’s stop. I volunteered at this market every Tuesday for years when I first came to town and it really helped me get immersed in the community and meet some locals, so it’s a pretty special place in my book. You can find it at the corner of Gower and Hemlock every Tuesday from 1-5pm through September 28th. And a quick word of advice, if you buy only one thing from a farmer’s market all season, make it a Baird’s Farm peach.
