The best part of real estate is getting to know and love my clients. The bittersweet part is when you find them the perfect house, give their smiling hearts the keys, and say goodbye for now. 💛 I worked with these folks for 6 months, touring and exploring areas from Olympia to Burien. Magically, what they said they wanted at our very first meeting: “a little home within walking distance to the energy of UPS in the Proctor District of Tacoma”, came on the market just as they were beginning to think about traveling for a few years vs purchasing. Through the 6 months of touring we did real estatey things like writing offers, discovering pocket neighborhoods, and formulating strategies. But we also shared moments of mutual vulnerabilty~ chatting about parenting, perspectives on politics and humanity, talking about fears and awe and books and travel. Sometimes it feels like this job is a little self-serving, boosting my own happiness simply by placing myself adjacent to the joy of my clients, but I don’t overlook the gift that it is to build connection and community one transaction at a time. 💛 It truly is a privilege to be of service to others and I’m grateful for every opportunity to help. Hosting open houses always reminds me of why I love my job; meeting people and chatting, making connections, purposeful interactions versus merely transactional exchange. It feels good to make this wonderful city a little smaller one new friendship at a time. 💫
Marketing myself feels awkward and unnatural, but I am very proud to be able to make one of life’s biggest transitions easier for my clients.

Preparing a tour of Alki view condos for some new clients and thinking back to this sweet transaction from August! It was so satisfying to help this first time buyer find an amazing condo and secure it quickly, taking it off the market before escalating offers came into play. We negotiated with clean and competitive terms that were comfortable for my buyer and attractive to the seller. After working together for months touring condos and researching the market, she knew when it was time to move quickly and felt confidant doing so with a thorough understanding of her numbers and terms. I just checked in with her this morning, and she reports the spot is “soooooo great”, which makes me tremendously happy. 💛
