I've always been pretty athletically gifted (believe it or not). Most sports and activities have come naturally, and with enough reps I've usually improved quickly.
Archery is different.
The more I shoot, the more I realize how much I don't know.
Just when you think you've got it figured out, something changes. Bow tune. Arrow tune. Release ex*****on. Grip pressure. Form. Equipment. Weather. Temperature. Mental game. Every variable matters, and every variable seems to be moving.
It feels like you're not only shooting at a target — you're chasing a hundred moving targets hidden inside the target.
That's what makes this sport so addicting. There is no finish line. No point where you've arrived and can't get any better. There is always another level, another adjustment, another lesson waiting to be learned.
So we keep shooting. We keep learning. We keep working.

I told chatgpt to analyze my Instagram and make a caricature of my life - Im flattered that chatgpt seems to think going to the gym is a part of my routine. Fairly accurate other than the fact I share more similarities in body type with the Michelin Man than Cam Hanes 🤣🤣🤣 but Keep Hammering baby!
2 closings this week and 2 new listings going on the market.
Its going to be a great year...

Tired… but grateful.
Had the opportunity to shoot in the Western Classic in Redding this weekend. Not gonna lie—part of me hesitated posting a 59th place finish… but the other part is proud of breaking 1400.
A lot of lessons learned, a lot to improve on—but that’s the game. This weekend was one I won’t forget.
Huge thank you to for pouring into me, getting me dialed, and giving me the push to go compete.
Back to work. 🎯

Archery will humble you quick.
It’s one of the hardest skills to truly master because your body hates surprises. Everything in you wants to punch the trigger and control the exact moment the bow fires… but that’s where things fall apart.
The arrow does what the bow says.
The bow does what you say.
So if your mechanics are off, your shot is off.
Relax your grip.
Stop trying to “time” the shot.
Don’t point and shoot.
Instead—build steady pressure on the release and let it break naturally.
That’s surprise archery.
It’s not flashy. It’s not instant.
But it’s how you become deadly consistent.
