Huge congrats to Daniel and Morgan on closing chapter two of their real estate journey with us! 🏡✨

These two have a special place in my heart — I helped them buy their very first house back in my early days in real estate. Vicente just closed on his new home in Spanaway. 🏡

Every home purchase is a new chapter — and this one came with a plot twist or two. (Stick around for a good story!)

It took six months, a lot of patience, and a level head from Vicente to get here. Nothing about it was easy. But that's what makes this job so rewarding — watching someone push through the challenges and come out the other side with keys in hand. Vicente was the MVP here for staying in this one.

Here is where it gets fun! The Notary:

Mid-signing, the notary stopped Vicente and said "don't sign that" because she couldn't answer a question he had about the documents. Her advice? "Google it." Not joking. Then she filled out a few fields she wasn't supposed to, said she needed to print new paperwork and would be right back to finish... and never came back. I'm guessing she wasn't a fan of me calling to ask which documents were actually in question, because she hung up on me for "questioning her qualifications." (I literally dropped my fork at the dinner table and ran out to the signing after Vicente called to tell me the notary referred him to Google for answers.)

When we finally got it sorted and scheduled a new notary for the next day — guess who showed up? 🤯 THE SAME NOTARY!!

We still got it done. 🤷‍♂️

Dan and Lacey just closed on the sale of The Valley Drop Tine — the bar they spent the last six years building. Literally.

They bought the building with no business inside — just four walls and a vision. He personally rebuilt the physical space from the ground up, and together he and Lacey turned it into one of the most profitable businesses I've ever seen in this industry. Before Dan & Lacey bought it, The Drop Tine was a legend in Valley, Dan & Lacey brought that legend back and turned it into the kind of place that became a part of a town's identity.

It was time for Dan and Lacey to let go of their baby. They'd had it listed with another agent for a year before giving me a shot to sell it for them, and we found a local buyer in 45 days who is going to run it with the same love and care they did.

I'm so grateful they let me be part of that journey — and that I got to help them bring it home.

Huge shoutout to Brent, too. When we needed a full three years of bookkeeping organized fast, Brent worked some AI wizardry and pulled together 3 years of records in 18 hours. That kind of clutch performance is what made this deal possible — thank you, Brent. 🙌 (and thank you Lacey for dusting off all those invoices and scanning them each by hand 😅)

Well, that escalated quickly. 🏡

Was gonna do the whole “Just Listed” post for this Port Orchard gem... didn’t get the chance. Went pending in 3 days, $20k over asking.

So here’s the “Just Listed” post anyway, except now it’s more of a “sorry, you missed it” post.

Every once in a while, a client becomes more than a client. Ayla and Rob were some of the first people who ever trusted me to help them — back when I was just getting started, and they were just getting started too.

I helped them buy their first home. Watched them settle in, buy another home, build a life here, and along the way, they didn’t just trust me with their own real estate — they trusted me with their friends, their family, the people they cared about most. That’s not something you take lightly in this business.

A few years later, that trust came full circle. They had a vision for where they wanted to spend their time long term, and it wasn’t here. So I got to be the one who helped them take that next step — helped them sell the home that started it all, and then sell their second home so they could go chase what’s next for them in Texas.

It’s bittersweet. This job puts you in people’s lives at some of the biggest moments they’ll go through — buying a first home, growing into it, and eventually, moving on from it. You show up for the beginning and sometimes you show up for the ending too. Saying goodbye never gets easier, no matter how many times you do it.

But here’s the thing about this work: the sweet always outweighs the bitter. Because even when the transaction ends, you don’t just disappear from someone’s life. You were part of their today. You’re still part of their tomorrow. Washington is where they became homeowners. It’s also where they sold their first home(s) — and I’ll always be grateful I got to be their person for it.
