Buyer’s or seller's market... What's the difference?? 🏡🤔
You’ve probably heard the debate between a “buyer’s market” or “seller’s market”, but what does any of that actually mean? How do you know which one we're in?
🏘️ Buyer’s Market: When there are more homes for sale than there are serious buyers. This gives interested buyers more options, as well as more control when it comes to price, terms, or contingencies. For sellers, it can mean longer days on market, more competition from other listings, and lower sell prices.
🏘️ Seller’s Market: When buyer demand is higher than the number of homes available for sale. This creates more competition between buyers, leading to multiple offers, higher sale prices, and faster sales (with the right selling strategy of course).
⚠️ Real estate markets aren't one-size-fits-all. Conditions can look completely different from one area, city, or even neighborhood to the next. Especially in such a diverse market like the Puget Sound!
