Barb is a native of Seattle and knows the many different neighborhoods around the city. She grew up on Magnolia and attended the former Queen Anne High School. She moved to Queen Anne after graduation living there several years before moving to West Seattle. Barb loves to help people buy or sell property. Every client has different needs; Barb takes the time to help each person with their individual goals. By listening carefully and asking questions she can zero in on the best options for her clients, including being honest enough to tell you buying or selling a home may not be your best option.
Buying or selling a home is one of the largest decisions most people ever make, and certainly the most expensive purchase of a lifetime. When making those decisions you want to feel like someone is on your side not like you are someone’s next paycheck. Wouldn’t you prefer a Broker who has the experience to be proactive rather than reactive that alleviates a significant amount of stress during the process? Barb’s style offers very candid advice that can only be learned by decades of working with buyers and sellers.
With buyers, Barb makes sure they are pre-approved for a mortgage to be sure she is choosing the homes that fit their needs and are in the correct price range. She guides her buyers on how to position their offer for the best results, especially when competing for a home other buyers want too. Her strategy has given many buyers success, winning many multiple offer situations; much to her client’s delight.
When working with sellers, she guides them on preparing their property to put it on the market. Sometimes those preparations start six months in advance. Barb will discuss with each seller her thoughts and ideas of projects they should consider doing, especially if projects would greatly increase the value of their home. That doesn’t mean the seller necessarily needs to make the improvements but it does allow the sellers to make an informed decision.
