Just Listed – and this one is close to my heart!
This was my grandparents’ home. They’ve both passed now — my grandpa just last fall. He made it to 97!
They bought the home new in 1949 for $8,000 (which still blows my mind!). They raised 3 kids and 6 grandkids here, and Grandpa even got to watch 3 great-grandkids grow up. He was so proud of them, and thankfully they’re all old enough to always remember him.
This home was the backdrop for so many of my core memories — singing the Oldies in the kitchen with Grandma while she made pies and jam, lawn darts (the sharp 80s kind!), croquet and slip ’n slides in the backyard, watching The Monkees, Golden Girls, and Bob Newhart, and every holiday and birthday were celebrated here. It was the hub of our family!
There are 76 years of memories and love in this place. Selling it isn’t easy — it’s deeply emotional — but I’m honored to help my family close this chapter of our history.
Value is in the land; a ½ acre corner lot in Rose Hill. Just down the street from Rose Hill Elementary & Lake Washington High. The house is 2 beds, 1 bath, 900 sq ft. Small and dated but in good shape and fully livable; It could easily be rented or lived in during the planning/permitting process.
