Quick story. 🏀
I’ve been watching a lot of high school hoops lately. Earlier this week, during the national anthem, both teams’ starting lineups were on the floor. As the music played, I noticed one starting five was completely in sync—subtle, almost imperceptible. Each player moving just slightly, together. As if they’d practiced it. I’m pretty sure it was unconscious rhythm.
I couldn’t stay for the game, but I walked out of the gym thinking: if this game is close, that team will win.
Fast forward—they won by one point.
I’m writing this so I don’t forget what I witnessed. So much of sport—and community—lives in the subtle. The connectivity. The unseen alignment.
Teams. Communities. More focus here.
And good luck to all hoopers competing to punch their ticket 🎫 to state!
Tonight—go Bears 🐻
