If you’ve been saying “I’d move, but I can’t give up my rate,” this one’s for you.

Neelam Singh explains the MOVE Act — a new congressional bill that proposes letting sellers transfer their existing conventional mortgage (same interest rate, terms, and remaining balance) to a new home within 90 days of selling.

The goal is to unlock the millions of homeowners who feel stuck because of the rate they locked in years ago.

One big caveat: it’s a proposed bill, not a law. Nothing is portable today, and there’s no guarantee it passes.

Neelam will keep sharing updates as this moves through Congress. If you’re weighing a move in the meantime, send her a message — there are options worth discussing right now.
