I am working with my real estate firm, Spire One, to help raise money and collect food for Food Lifeline in our annual food drive. Food Lifeline reports that this year has been especially difficult for them. Their food stores were already depleted when the government shutdown hit and further drew down their stock. In the last year, agency partners that are supported by food lifeline reported 16,001,264 visits, which is an increase of over 5 million visits. This metric was counted BEFORE permanent SNAP cuts go into place.

The good news is that every dollar that is donated to Food Lifeline can deliver $10 worth of food. Food banks, in general, are very good about getting needed supplies wholesale or negotiating bulk discounts. The money we raise also helps with the logistics of storage and delivery of food donations. So, this year we are focusing on raising as much money as possible to help food insecure families get their needs met. That said, we are still taking direct food donations. Just reach out to me to schedule a pickup. There are two pickup days available.

SOLD! This property was a challenge to sell. It needed work, and we were very honest about that. The right buyer would need some grit and vision. We were patient and managed to find that buyer and sell for the asking price! My seller had been approached by multiple wholesalers and other "fast cash" low-ball investors; some offering less than half of what he realized by selling with me on the open market. We also managed to close with buyers using a conventional loan, despite the rough condition. This required some hands-on work on my part, but I did what was required to make sure my client got the outcome he needed without undue expense. Just helped some buyers purchase this property for nearly 5% below the asking price! $715,000 for a 3-bedroom, 2.25 bathroom home in shoreline is a fantastic deal.

Built a permanent dog gate a while back to replace the cheap one that used to trip everybody. We used that old one for far too long. I'm pretty proud of this.
