Not ready to say goodbye to Summer? 💐 Add the Volunteer Park Dahlia Garden to your walk! The Puget Sound Dahlia Association maintains a display garden of Dahlias on the north eastern side of the park. They are planted each May and are generally in full bloom from July to mid-October, thanks to the Trust.

Volunteer Park is just a 15-minute walk (or a 10-minute bike ride) from Belroy, opening your access to one of Seattle's best city parks.

Volunteer Park incorporates one of Seattle’s first reservoirs, built in 1900, as the core of the city’s municipal supply system. The Park also includes a rustic, brick-clad water tower with observation deck, a Conservatory ( ), the Seattle Asian Art Museum ( ), the newly rebuilt Volunteer Park Amphitheater, an historic shelter house, wading pool and play area, tennis courts, public art and memorials, and significant heritage trees.

Widely used and much loved, Volunteer Park serves as both a citywide destination and a neighborhood park in one of Seattle’s densest, most prominent neighborhoods. 🏙🌲
