Today marks a special day for me, as I celebrate 10 years since I landed in Washington DC and fell in love with the United States. It has been an incredible journey, filled with ups and downs, but I am grateful for every moment that has led me to where I am today.
Looking back, I realize that it was not an easy decision to leave behind the citizenships of my former countries, but I knew in my heart that this was the place I wanted to call home. Over the past decade, I have built a life here, made friends, pursued my dreams, and contributed to my community.
Despite the challenges and uncertainties that come with living in a new country, I have never once regretted my decision. The United States has welcomed me with open arms and given me endless opportunities to grow and thrive.
As I reflect on the past 10 years, I am filled with gratitude for this country and its people. I am proud to call the United States my own nation, and I look forward to continuing this journey with hope and optimism for the future.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey so far. Here's to another 10 years and beyond!
