Sustainability is at the core of a successful property — and at 9th & Thomas, it’s something we celebrate with our community. 🌎✨
Last week, 9th & Thomas brought Earth Day to life with a free, public event in the heart of South Lake Union. Guests got their hands dirty at the pop-up Plant Bar, supported climate justice with donations to The Wilderness Society , and picked up limited-edition totes along the way. From Earth-themed cream puffs by Floranda to flash tattoos from tenant Fine Studio, and a stunning cherry blossom installation by BAHTOH, the “Living Room of SLU” transformed into a vibrant, springtime celebration.
Moments like these reflect a bigger commitment. 9th & Thomas is LEED Gold Certified, designed and built with sustainability at the forefront — from energy-efficient systems that reduce consumption to water-saving strategies that support long-term environmental impact. For us, sustainability in real estate isn’t just about performance metrics — it’s about creating healthier, more resilient spaces for the people who use them every day.
Changing policies, evolving technology, and increasing market demand continue to drive sustainable development in the Pacific Northwest. This means more buildings with complex systems that require new strategies for user education. Sustainability goes beyond environmental stewardship and extends to the way we treat each other. Utilizing a strategy heavy on education and social programming, our goal is to make sustainable decisions easy and logical.
We’re proud to continue pursuing green certifications and thoughtful programming that bring sustainability to life — not just in how our buildings operate, but in how our communities connect. 🌱
