Last week, 9th & Thomas brought Earth Day to life with a free, public event in the heart of South Lake Union. Guests got their hands dirty at the pop-up Plant Bar, supported climate justice with donations to The Wilderness Society , and picked up limited-edition totes along the way. From Earth-themed cream puffs by Floranda to flash tattoos from tenant Fine Studio, and a stunning cherry blossom installation by BAHTOH, the “Living Room of SLU” transformed into a vibrant, springtime celebration.

Moments like these reflect a bigger commitment. 9th & Thomas is LEED Gold Certified, designed and built with sustainability at the forefront — from energy-efficient systems that reduce consumption to water-saving strategies that support long-term environmental impact. For us, sustainability in real estate isn’t just about performance metrics — it’s about creating healthier, more resilient spaces for the people who use them every day.

Belroy has always had the kind of character you can’t recreate — brick, bay windows, arched doorways, timeless architecture, and the charm that makes living in Capitol Hill so special. 💙

With our recent remodel, the goal wasn’t to erase that history — it was to elevate it.

Each vintage unit received a full interior renovation, including refinished wood flooring, new tile in kitchens and bathrooms, updated cabinetry and countertops, modern fixtures, stainless-steel appliances, and brand-new in-unit washer and dryer sets. We also improved wall insulation and updated heating systems for better temperature and noise control — because comfort matters just as much as character.

The result? A space that feels timeless, functional, and ready for today — while still honoring the story it’s always told.

“I’ve lived at Lawrence lofts for 5.5 years now, I really have enjoyed living here. It feels really lovely to come into a building where there is a sense of community being fostered. Ry and Flower genuinely care about the residents and the community which is evident in not only the activities that are put on but also in the way they cultivate relationships. My dog is sensitive and Flower has not only in multiple occasions helped me with her (getting her upstairs) but also has taken the time to get to know her and me.

The warm and welcoming environment, as well as professional, really has changed the overall feel of the apartment building. Thank you Flower and Ry! I’m sad to be moving out but I’m grateful for my time here!”

Built in 1892, the historic Metropole Building has witnessed more than a century of Seattle’s evolution. Today, under the ownership of the Satterberg Foundation and managed by Blanton Turner, it stands as a powerful example of what mission-driven real estate can accomplish.

Recently highlighted in the building’s transformation represents more than a renovation — it reflects a shift in purpose. Rather than treating the property as a conventional investment, the Satterberg Foundation reimagined it as a tool for advancing its mission centered on social justice, equity, and community-based work. Did you know a few of our properties have landed on the big screen? 🎞️ During the initial Lease-Up of Ember Apartments , we were in the movie previews at AMC Loews Alderwood Mall 16.

Our internal BT Creative team co-produced a commercial with Red Propeller to highlight the unique amenities at Ember by following a day in the life of a resident. In just a 30-second video, we were able to highlight 7 spaces at this beautiful property:
