With the removal of third party fact checking program, the DEI program, and the obvious bullying of TikTok removal to make Meta the only game in town I’m done. Zuckerberg says he wants a more masculine energy around him?

The potential effects of the Trump administration’s new term on the Pacific Northwest (PNW) real estate market are likely to depend on several proposed federal policies. These changes will deepen challenges for people who are already disenfranchised while amplifying opportunities for those in privileged positions. Let’s delve into these some of these policies:

Regulatory Changes: Trump’s administration favors deregulation, which includes relaxing mortgage lending standards and curbing oversight on financial practices. This could increase housing demand by making mortgages more accessible but also heighten risks for borrowers and the overall housing market (think back to 2008 with subprime mortgages and the market crash). Reduced federal intervention will also limit the enforcement of tenant protections and fair housing measures.

Affordable Housing and Supply Issues: Rising costs for construction materials, driven by proposed tariffs, and elevated mortgage rates could worsen housing affordability in the PNW. Trump has acknowledged the need to increase housing inventory but hasn’t outlined a detailed plan to address these issues. Trump’s horrific immigration policies will shrink the labor pool for construction, raising costs for new developments. Affordable housing developments may face significant challenges under his administration.

Tax Policy and Economic Stimulus: Tax cuts for high-income individuals might boost luxury property demand while potentially increasing federal deficits. This, combined with tariffs, could lead to higher interest rates, dampening affordability for everyone else.

What does this mean for you and your future real estate decisions? Realistically, only you can decide what is best for you and your family. Real estate agents are experts at providing resources and information. You are the expert at knowing what you need now and in the future.

I wanted to re-introduce myself here because after the election there has been a noticeable mindset shift in the people around me. It has been abundantly clear that the economy and money were more important to people than basic human rights. So, I want to make sure that I am very clear to everyone around me what I stand for. If this offends you, don’t worry. You don’t have to work with me!

I believe that Trump is a white supremacist and if you voted for Trump you are also a white supremacist.
I believe that no human is illegal
I believe that Black Lives Matter
I support defunding the police
I am pro-palestine and support a cease fire
I deeply love and want to protect my community and believe that we are stronger together.

Right now, things feel incredibly tough and uncertain, and not enough people are actively engaging in preparing for what’s ahead. One significant thing we can do right now is build connections with people in our community. In the months ahead, it will be crucial that we stand together to protect the most vulnerable among us. Community is everything.

The past week has reminded me how grateful I am for my community. Community takes care of community and that is what I am holding onto 🙏

It has been a heavy time for many in my circle. It’s been hard for a long time for many disenfranchised folks.

I encourage you to find community and join forces with those that passionately care for each other and our rights. If you need help finding that, please reach out to me. You aren’t alone. 🙏

Do you know what makes shivers run down my spine and raises the goosebumps on my neck? The idea that women, BIPOC, and the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities will continue to have our rights eroded away if conservative extremists get control of the white house.

I want my Halloween season to be spooky for the right reasons - scary movies and trick or treat fun! Please overcome feelings of apathy and dismay and vote. If you feel like you vote third party or sit out the vote on this one it is due to privilege. It is personal and it matters. The people in your life depend on you. I’ve already cast my vote and I voted for Kamala Harris. There is a clear better choice. Please vote.

❌ Talking Over You Instead of Listening
Your goals matter. If your agent is telling you what you “need” instead of listening to what you want, that's a problem.

💸 Sending Listings Above Your Budget
Agents should respect your budget, not push you toward overspending.

⚠️ Using Pressure Tactics
The market might be intense, but your agent should never be. If you feel rushed, coerced, or like you don’t have full control over decisions, that’s a major red flag.

“For the past 10 months, James has been grappling with severe, untreated health issues. It was only after seeking care at numerous medical facilities that he finally received the attention and treatment he desperately needed.

Earlier this year, during the third flare-up of James’s debilitating abdominal pain, we visited urgent care, which referred us to the Evergreen ER. There, they performed blood tests and a CT scan, which was when it was discovered that there were gallstones present. This information was never relayed to James. The only follow-up was a referral to an intestinal specialist—an appointment set for 6 weeks out. Still weeks away from that appointment, James experienced another severe episode of pain, and we decided to seek help at Swedish ER in Redmond...”
