Today in 2001, the actor Steve Buscemi returned to his old fire house in Manhattan's Little Italy, Engine 55. Put on a spare uniform and went to work.

Buscemi trained as a fire fighter in 1980 and worked in the FNDY until left to pursue acting in 1984.

He worked for several days in the rubble of the towers, working 12 hour shifts and refused interviews with the press. He has only now began to open up about happened that day and that he is suffering with a form of PTSD from what he saw in the wreckage. Prior to this all he ever said on the matter was that he and his then wife provided pizza, drinks and support to the other crew’s families.

In 2014 he was appointed an Honorary Battalion Chief of the FDNY.

This is the view from a new listing we have on Briar Road in Edgemoor. I grew up looking at this view, on Briar Road. This vantage brings back memories. This post is long overdue.
It's a great feeling when you are able to go in to a multiple offer situation (which are most situations now a days 😬) and WIN the deal for some of your dearest friends. It was not our first rodeo and in the end we came out on top.

Audrey and Sawyer and their two little ones are well into the process of revitalizing this historical Eldridge Craftsman and I couldn't be happier for them. Young, vibrant and community driven, these are the types of families that enrich a neighborhood. So congratulations to Dr. Sawyer and Fam.

Dr. Sawyer runs a Pediatric Dentist practice here in town and utilizes cutting edge laser technology to alleviate the stress related to going to the dentist. We've all been there as children and adults, but this one is for the kids. No numbing and they're out in minutes without pain. He is an inspiring human to be around, infectiously positive, and a true professional. If any of you out there have little ones I'd highly recommend Dr. Sawyer and his team
