Like many of you, I am glad to have 2022 behind us. It brought us a mix of both good and bad. We had the opportunity for long awaited travels that we had to postpone due to COVID and while consolidating 3 years of travel left Jim and I exhausted, were able to see some amazing sites, enjoy good times with friends, and create some lasting memories. But with the highs, came the lows and I am sorry to share that we lost my mother unexpectedly mid-summer.
As we embark on this new year, I want to share some updates on the real estate market in our area. We saw a slow down last summer, after the frenzied pace we have seen these past few years, but it has begun to pick up again. We are seeing homes sell that have been sitting on the market and current activity at open houses has increased substantially. My hope is that we have entered a more balanced market that will allow for buyers and sellers to continue moving forward with their life goals.
Another update in the new year is that Jim Brown has chosen to take a less active role in our real estate business. He will still be involved, but in a supporting role. I have teamed up with a agent at our office named Gabe Koutlas. Gabe is a great guy with many years of sales experience and our current clients are finding him a good fit. Gabe and I will be working together going forward. We will no longer be doing business under our team name of “The Jim’s”, but while our business name may have changed, the level of service and excellence you have come to expect will not.
Gabe and I welcome the opportunity to discuss how we can assist with your real estate needs.
I look forward to catching up with everyone very soon. Please feel free to reach out.
Best,
Jim and Jim
