Today I got a review from a client who had so much more trouble selling their beautiful home. I think this review is a great example of the hard work required to be successful in this challenging year of Real Estate but also, this review lifts my spirits up to have my client say such great things after such a hard journey together:
"Outstanding Service in a Challenging Period When I first researched Redfin agents in March of this year, I was looking for local experience and knowledge, a successful track record, and someone who wasn’t going to sell to me. On the Redfin site John Paul’s bio stood out for having sold hundreds of homes over a long period of time. Then when he came to my house for our first consult, I knew within a few minutes that he was not going to sell me, but was interested in what I needed out of this partnership. We bought the house in 2006, raised our girls in it, and put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears (and money) into the home. John immediately understood all of that and recognized the care we had put into it. That was March and within a month or two we had planned out to list the house in late September. However, throughout the summer the market was deteriorating and we both knew it. Fortunately, John was always responsive with needed vendors, such as providing names of property inspectors. John was phenomenal during the selling period, keeping us updated with detailed reports after open houses - and even talking with other agents who had shown the house. We decided on a price drop after a couple of weeks based on feedback. Then the good news of an offer happened on November 4th. Even when John was on his bonus Hawaiian holiday, he was still working and moving the sale along. A sign of fabulous customer service. We closed on December 12th, a week later than originally scheduled, but that was due to the buyer finding a new lender. I should say that I had moved to Mexico September 20th and my wife is located in upstate New York, so John was having to manage not just a wildly inconsistent real estate market, but also with clients who were in different time zones and even a different country. It never phased him. John is battle-tested, resilient, calm, and empathetic. He’s exactly what an ethical real estate agent should be. I would recommend him to anyone buying or selling a resident in the Seattle area. Thank you, John! P.S. I fully expect a postcard from him when he flies to London next year for his Redfin Real Estate agent bonus holiday trip."
