Ohhh it’s Sunday Funday Mothers Day! A big shout out to this little thing we call mom. What is a mom? Someone who laughs, helps, hugs, giggles, cries, smiles, makes funny faces, sacrifices- the list is endless. We are four of the luckiest kids (the grands and greats are blessed too!) to have been given life and love ❤️ from this lady. Her boundless excitement and creativity is contagious. Today marks my Granny’s 111th birthday! She passed 24 years ago- one week after her 87th birthday and just three months after my son posed in the family high chair with her. She taught me so many things…family bonding (always love your kinfolk); the love of digging in the dirt (something I need more of!); that a little extra something in your morning coffee never hurt anybody (I refrain unless it’s a special day!); if you’re pinching 🤏 pennies and need a gift make something with your hands; if you’ve got something on your mind just say it (except if you really have a secret keep it to yourself); the art of nail polish 💅-always put some on (it disguises the dirt from digging that’s highly likely underneath your nails) ; love on all the babies because they’re innocent and all they know are big hugs 🤗 food 🥘 and laughter. It’s amazing how people impact our lives in a special way and we think of them FOREVER. My Granny is in my daily thoughts. Cheers 🍻 Granny to your everlasting wisdom and my inheritance of your genetic 🧬 code! Eat the cake 🎂. 💜
