Every year, since 1939, Seattle King County Realtors honors a member of the community that has made a huge impact on Seattle. This year, we had the privilege of honoring Seattle Kraken CEO, Tod Leiweke.

This award started the year Gone With the Wind and The Wizard of Oz hit the theaters. It was a challenging time in our world and Realtors wanted to do something that would be uplifting, inspiring and morale boosting for our city. This is our 86th year celebrating pillars of our community.

Tod Leiweke has done a lot for our city and is beloved. He continues to strive to make our city more connected and vibrant. His list of achievements is long and varied and he is at the heart of most of our favorite local teams.

We also acknowledged our 2024 Scholarship winners and awarded over $50,000 to local students. A special scholarship award was given in honor and memory of Dahni Malgrini-Logar. Dahni left a big legacy of service and leadership and will always be remembered for her passion and commitment to SKCR, WR & NAR.

I was very inspired by Tod's story and speech and felt the love in the room for this great man. Congratulations, Mr. Leiweke! This award was well deserved.

Thank you to Karlis Zommers, Tanea Stephens, Leigh Ann Sajor, Susan Langendorfer, Sara Prescott, Adam Lingerfelt, Mark Houghton and John Michael for joining me. It was a great night!
