Eple — Norwegian for apple — sits on the largest lot in the collection, its meadow garden a direct continuation of the orchard that shaped this land for a century. The architecture responds to the site with restraint: a dark charcoal mass above, a warm vertical-grain wood plinth below, and a glass balcony railing that opens the upper level to an unobstructed view of Puget Sound.

Inside, the warmth carries through. Polished concrete floors, warm oak cabinetry, stone counters with gold veining, and brass fixtures throughout — a palette that is grounded without being heavy, luminous without being loud. The primary suite occupies the full western edge of the upper level, oriented to the water, with a spa bath sequenced around a ribbed freestanding soaking tub and an oversized shower.

An upper-level room for fitness, practice, or stillness looks out to the same view as the primary suite. The main level includes a private guest suite with ensuite bath. The garden, designed by Studio Terrain, restores the orchard with apple and espalier pear varieties alongside fig, ironwood, pine, and witch hazel — a planting plan rooted in the land's history and scaled for the generations ahead.
