How do you know if there is an oil tank buried in a yard? Well, I always start with looking up the address in the City of Seattle database. Best case scenario is the address pops up and the tank was decommissioned properly.
If nothing shows up, I check the title report and then do a visual inspection of the lot. Usually, there is a pipe or vent or something sticking through the basement. If all those are gone, there’s a solid chance there is not a tank.

Mortgage rates are pretty high right now. The president says we should have the cheapest money in the world in one breath and then says he'll give away a trillion dollars if the midterms go his way the next breath.

When you hear about the FED announcements this week, remember that the FED does not control your mortgage rate. Mortgage rates are tied to the Bond market.
