What an incredible day at Bisnow’s Seattle State of the Market event last week, hosted at our Chapter Buildings in the heart of the University District! 🎉

Over 80 of our incredible teammates from the Seattle and Bellevue Pods came together for our highly anticipated Annual Employee Night Out at the Ball Park! 🎟️

The evening was filled with excitement as we enjoyed exciting door prizes, a fun guessing game with more prizes, and of course, the Mariners' game itself. The night capped off with a breathtaking firework and drone show that lit up the sky, making it a night to remember for all!

We’ve got big news to share!

At the end of 2024, our founder and current CEO Pat Callahan will be transitioning to the Board of Directors and focusing on public policy, particularly safety and security in our cities. We are deeply grateful for his visionary leadership since founding URG in 2006.

We are also pleased to announce that Matthew Simo, who has been with us since 2006 and currently serves as our President and Chief Investment Officer, will be stepping into the role of CEO. With years of dedicated service and exceptional leadership, we are confident Matt will guide Company into an exciting new chapter.

We’re gearing up for this year’s Walk ALS Portland event. June 2nd will mark URG’s 4th year participating in the annual ALS walk with ALS Northwest. The team, InVINCEable, walks and fundraises for ALS in honor of our late colleague, friend and URG partner, Vince Sheridan, and we walk each year alongside Vince’s family and friends.

Funds raised for the ALS Northwest help support and advocate for people with ALS and their families while advancing research for new ALS treatments and cures.

We’re committed to creating thriving places and we love finding opportunities to give back to our communities. This week, our teams are proudly hosting events in honor of Earth Day across our portfolio.

Here's one amazing success story from this week:

In partnership with Freeway Park Association and Town Hall Seattle, we hosted a park cleanup at Freeway Park, downtown Seattle’s largest public space. With over 100 volunteers, including 60 passionate individuals from URG and our downtown tenants, alongside attendees from Town Hall and the public, this was one of Freeway Park Association’s largest volunteer events!

Together, we cleared over 20lbs of garbage and distributed over 100lbs of mulch, leaving our beloved Freeway Park pristine and beautiful for the community to enjoy! Thank you to our partners at Freeway Park Association and Town Hall Seattle and thank you to our volunteers!
