I’m a real estate agent AND a mom of 6..so when I tell you Buckley changed our family’s life, I mean both personally and professionally.

We left Seattle looking for space, a slower pace and a community our kids could actually grow up in. What we found was so much more.

Here’s what nobody tells you about leaving the city with a big family. The hardest part is deciding to go. Everything after that? So worth it.

If you’re renting in Pierce County, WA…this might be the most important video on your feed right now.

Washington State Housing Finance Commission has a down payment assistance program…and if you make under $215K a year, you might already be closer to homeownership than you think.

All you need to do is make under $215K/year, get a home inspection, and take a class. (You still need to qualify for your mortgage, but we go over everything in this class.)

There is a free class you can take that could qualify you for thousands of dollars in down payment assistance. Let me tell you what happens inside

It’s called a homebuyer education class, and it’s required if you want to use Washington State Housing Finance Commission programs…aka the ones that give you DPA.

Here’s what they actually cover:

One: credit. How to read it, how to improve it, and what lenders actually look at.

Two: budgeting for homeownership. Not just your mortgage, but taxes, insurance, maintenance..the real numbers.

Three: the buying process from start to finish. So you’re not walking into this blind.

The class is 5 hours long and you can take it online or in person.

And here’s the thing…even if you don’t end up using DPA? The class alone is worth it. I’ve had clients tell me it was the most useful thing they did before buying.
