My previous experience includes over 20 years of marketing, communications, public affairs, branding, media relations, strategic partnerships, social and digital media management, and even environmental consulting! (yes, my original degree was in Environmental Science & Biology, then in 2004 I subsequently obtained my MBA). Another Catharine Blaine K8 playground painting in the books! 🎨🐯

A huge thank you to everyone who gave up part of their Saturday to come out and help freshen up the Catharine Blaine playground.

We had enough helping hands to tackle a big chunk of it — tetherball court lines, Tiger Tracks, four-square, basketball courts, and a whole lot more. We didn’t quite get to the large state map this time around, but we got the majority of the playground done and it looks so much better!

Being a part of our PTA is awesome! So that’s a wonderful group of folks, and as the, “facilities guy” I am happy to organize this little undertaking each year — which apparently includes loading what feels like half the paint department into my truck — but none of it happens without people actually showing up and doing the work.

So thank you again to everyone who came out and helped. The playground looks a whole lot better because of you! 🧡🐯

There’s a new option available to sellers called First Look — and it adds a little more flexibility to how a home can be introduced to the market.

Like most things in real estate, whether it makes sense depends on the home, the seller and the strategy.

Just Sold in Maple Leaf!

So excited for my buyers on this one. We had only been working together for a few weeks, but I was able to get a clear sense pretty quickly of what they were hoping to find — and when this home hit the market, it was obvious it checked a lot of the right boxes.

After just one day on market, it was also clear this home was likely going to draw strong interest. We knew waiting through the weekend and open houses would probably mean more competition, so we moved quickly and put together a strong, strategic offer.

In a market like this, success is not always about “getting a deal.” Sometimes it is about recognizing the right opportunity, understanding the competition, and knowing when to act decisively.
