I love a good challenge. It is easy to bring in a truckload of beautiful furniture but it takes experience to help guide clients on where to spend a very limited budget when the house is far from market ready. This former long time rental had been divided into student housing and had dump loads of debris in the garden alone. Gone are the false walls, too bright student paint colors, and years of delayed updating making it much more move in ready for a young family. It still has a ways to go but the Wallingford location makes it worth the effort.

Repainting trim is expensive so the challenge was to update the look of dark taupe trim without a total repaint. Complex cream walls pairs beautifully in this classic 1927 home that just hit the market in Ravenna. 900k MLS #2347655

Not easy to tell your clients that the home they purchased fully remodeled just a few years ago had flooring that was just too shiny, the pattern too busy and the bouncy laminate looked too cheaply done for a home valued at 1.5 million. Agents value my honesty to get sellers top dollar. The new engineered hardwoods and some better grade neutral carpet resulted in a quick full price sale.

7 Offers $245k Over Asking - This Roosevelt home has all the cozy charm but was ready for a lighter fresher look. Newly refinished floors, soft carpet, and many gallons of paint helped kep the Pottery Barn comfortable feel of this home but made if far more easily move in ready. This one sold within days which is why we always push clients to consider selling in January.

New engineered hardwoods, fresh classic paint colors, retro light fixtures and creating usable space in the lower level proved to be key moves for my client. A perfect strategy to give a gray interior some life is to add bright accents. If you are wanting to update your interior that was done in the gray trend, this is a great solution. February is a great time to get some color into your space during this dark time of year and give your space some added personality. Artwork, throw pillows and fun rugs are easy ways to warm up those gray finishes. We just finished this Wedgwood townhouse right on 35th Street between Top Pot Donuts and Starbucks.

I love color on the ceiling in small spaces like powder rooms but unfortunately, many of the color choices in this house were too bold for most buyers. I advise clients daily to embrace the architectural style of your home rather than fighting it. We also created a layout that improved the functionality of the home to increase the appeal of the property. 875k in Ravenna.

I staged this home in 2013 and was asked to stage it again recently. A fantastic complex cream as a main color works really well when you have existing earthy finishes but want a fresher look to match today's furnishings.
