They called us a “powerful real estate development firm” which feels… generous.

What felt more like us was this: “a real estate developer genuinely aligned with community needs.”

That’s what aligns most with our core values.

When the former QFC space on 15th Ave E became available, it came with a big question: “How is anyone going to take this space and make it work?”

The answer ended up being 200+ vendors, 8,000+ visitors, 20,000 sq ft of space brought to life, and a whole lot of creativity.

What started as a temporary lease turned into something that brought life, energy, and community back into the building. Watching Punk Rock Flea Market transform the space has been something special.

Looking for a simple way to get involved in the neighborhood?

Circle the Blocks is a volunteer-led weekly meet-up bringing together people who live and work in Capitol Hill to connect and take small actions that make a real impact. It’s a different kind of block watch — focused on showing up consistently, building relationships, and helping the neighborhood thrive.

The group gathers every Thursday at Stoup Brewing before heading out together to “circle the block.” Along the way, volunteers submit Find It, Fix It requests, help clean up, and connect with neighbors to address small issues that make a big difference.

After the walk, everyone returns to Stoup Brewing to continue the conversation and enjoy a casual happy hour together.

Everyone is welcome. Whether you want to help improve the neighborhood, meet new people, or simply stay connected to what’s happening around you.

We hope to see you there!

Did you know one of our tenants is doing work that matters on a global scale?

Nia Tero is based right here in the Chrysler Building on E Pine St, but their reach goes far beyond Capitol Hill. They’re a Seattle-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting Indigenous Peoples’ guardianship of vital lands and waters — helping communities around the world protect more than 130 million hectares of ecosystems through long-term partnerships, direct funding, and advocacy. Their work elevates Indigenous leadership and knowledge as essential to planetary health and cultural resilience, with grantmaking, storytelling, and policy efforts that help sustain both people and place for generations to come.

Nearly two years in as a Capitol Hill tenant, they’re one of the teams helping make the neighborhood a place where real work happens.

We’re excited to welcome Sweet Caffeine to the Broadway Building. Owner David has created a small craft coffee counter centered around a brewing method he developed called Diamond Brew, designed to highlight the natural sweetness and aroma of the coffee.

Everything is done with intention, from simple oat milk to cups that are 100% biodegradable and home compostable.

Sweet Caffeine is open today with a soft launch at the new Broadway pickup window. As David puts it, “my hope is for Sweet Caffeine to grow together with the neighborhood… and become something people here feel is truly their own.”

Stop by and give it a try! Open 8 AM - 2 PM Today!

Congratulations Tacos Cometa, who was named one of The Seattle Times Top 20 restaurants they’re most excited about in 2026!

You might recognize Tacos Cometa from their late-night weekend pop-ups near Cal Anderson Park. Brothers Rey and Osiel Gastelum bring experience from Michelin-rated kitchens in California and Europe, and their first official Seattle brick-and-mortar will focus on Sinaloa-style carne asada.

We are excited to welcome them to The Broadway Building !

Built in 1916 by Hans Pederson and architect Webster & Ford, the Colman Automotive Building carries the legacy of the J.M. Colman Company—the same family that built Seattle's iconic Colman Dock. For decades, it was the heartbeat of Capitol Hill's automotive scene: Carr Brothers & Wurdeman auto repair in the 1920s-40s, then Raff's Shoes through the mid-20th century.

By 2012, the building needed help. Its character was fading. So we brought it back.

Hunters Capital completed a full exterior restoration in September 2012, returning the facade to its original beauty. Then came the interior: a complete seismic and aesthetic refurbishment finished in April 2018. Now 18,100 SF of stunning retail space hosts Blu Dot and MR. Studio.

This is what preservation looks like. Not erasing history. Restoring it. Making it thrive again.

This year looked a lot like this for our resident community.

Bingo, workshops, neighborhood cleanups, pickleball games, barbecues, yoga, and a holiday party or two. A lot of good moments packed into one year.

We’re really grateful for our Hunters Capital community and everyone who made 2025 such a great year to call home. Looking forward to more of it ahead.
