Running past a space I represented the tenant on last night, I saw my client still working inside. This was no easy feat and transforming it into her dream shop was anything but easy.

I have this quote on my desk that I thought was Warren Buffett but apparently he said "a great company" not assets. Either way...it certainly applies to real estate. If you buy a great asset a a fair price, it's hard to go wrong!

At age 15, I was working at my aunt and uncles real estate brokerage in Ohio. Typing up addendums to the 2 page contract and highlighting listings in the MLS book. 1 hour photo and the fax machine took things to a whole next level. Now in 2024, licensed in 3 states, the 5 different contracts I use are 8 pages plus and constantly changing along with the strategies for negotiating them. I search for listings on my phone, as do my clients and never has the need for my services been more important! I love this bit of history as it's a reminder of how we adapt to our ever changing environment.
