It would appear that tonight, due to the lack of leadership over our parks, especially Be'er Sheva (the one next to our condo community)... and the lack of police oversight... the squandering of our property taxes... the misrepresentation on part of the city council to our concerns for crime in this park... all this and more has contributed to a double shooting, possibly a homicide.

Here is the email I wrote to Council Member Teresa Mosqueda, who oversees our district: [email protected]

I'm writing to you with a desperate plea for immediate action. As an owner of a waterfront condo next to the Be'er Sheva Park, (Parkshore Villa), we are suffering from non-stop complaints from our tenants and other reports from our owner-neighbors about crime occurring in the park on a regular basis.

For the last several years, non-stop, weekly crime, noise violations, drug dealing or loitering has occurred. THIS HAS BEEN A WEEKLY OCCURENCE SINCE OUR PURCHASE OF THE CONDO UNIT. I've been patient long enough!! It is time for action.

The park must remain closed at night, after hours. There are really no other options. Tonight, it is apparent that a homicide has occurred. Two bodies have just been loaded into 2 ambulances and we believe the victims could be dead. This could have been prevented like so many other crimes in the park after dark... but there has been a complete lack of leadership on the part of the parks administration.

It is excruciating to pay taxes and receive little to no representation. I will be calling you to schedule a conversation regarding ideas and a path forward that works for both the Parkshore Villa community and our regional neighbors.

There has not been much for action on this FB site... what is new with our HOA Board? Can anyone provide an update? Isn't it time we start holding meetings online?

Google, Zoom and others offer free technology to hold conferences. It would be great to have a meeting online and update everyone on where our budget stands, projects being considered... keep owners updated.

Where can I get more info about a person renting Parkshore's vacant condo? Did Sadie have authority to rent it out?

Where did the $$ go?

Have we considered spending the $ to rehab the unit to salable condition? Or lease it out for fair market value?

Tonight the HOA voted to replace all the decks, railings and windows. My bill is $49,131.

Part of me is happy we are investing in our fine community. But the larger part of me is crushed that we only got 1 bid (against our HOA Declaration and against all reasonable, normal HOA practices) and the pricing is so exorbitant that it is suspect.

Can anybody else verify you're able to write a post on this page? I for one would like to know how more people feel about the upcoming Capital Improvements that are being talked about. What I speak of are the assessments that may be levied against homeowners for new Windows and Decks.

I agree that the HOA needs teeth to force owners to deal with problem tenants. I've signed my form and dropped it at Sadies door. Please consider doing this so we can enforce errant tenants within our community, if applicable.

Informative HOA meeting tonight. I've missed a few due to work travel and fixing my own rentals... Our reserves are healthy but some spendy envelope repairs are due soon - south side storm damage. GET INVOLVED!! SHOW UP!! THIS IS YOUR HOME.

We need to finish construction of unit 101 and rent it out... this will benefit all of us. Should we consider scheduling a volunteer paint day? If we don't make it an issue it will just sit there and lose $$$.
