The January numbers on the December market. Happy New Year.

Statistics developed by the REALTORS® Association of Indian River County through its Multiple Listing Service and in conjunction with Florida REALTORS® reflect the following for December 2025/2024. The Residential closed sales of single-family detached homes totaled 227 units for December 2025. This compares to a total of 206 units in December 2024. The median price of single-family detached homes sold by members of the REALTORS® Association of Indian River County MLS for December 2025 was $396,015. This compares to a median price of $410,000 for December 2024. The current active inventory of residential single-family detached homes totals 1,146 for December 2025. This compares to the active inventory of 1,191 for December 2024.



The Residential closed sales of condominium homes totaled 70 units for December 2025. This compares to a total of 55 units in December 2024. The median price of condominium homes sold by members of the REALTORS® Association of Indian River County MLS for December 2025 was $337,500. This compares to a median price of $283,000 for December 2024. Current active inventory of condominium homes total 718 for December 2025. This compares to the active inventory of 749 for December 2024.

I had the greatesat massage of my life late last week. The joke of the week at work was that I was paying to finally have something others have done metaphorically. Walk all over me. Sorry.

That said, this is my Google review I posted.

Corrie's Barefoot Massage

It was one of the greatest 90 minutes of my life. Corrie’s aura immediately put me at ease, as I was nervous/excited while driving there. I could just tell it was going to be special. The massage table itself is beautiful and inviting with beautiful wood arches supporting the bars the Corrie floats like a fairy amongst. I have no idea what she was doing up there but it sure seemed like magic. You never see her doing whatever is going on up there and I like that. It keeps it mystical.

So, the massage itself. Withing seconds of her stepping on my back I had the revelation of how sensical an approach it was. I always have moments in a traditional massage where I’m examining how exhausting a job that must be. Not with Corrie! She’s using gravity and feet in a way that is so powerful but graceful that it is like having an out of body experience. Also, each foot is 2 if not 3 tools so the range of motions available is exponentially more than when using hands.

I loved how physical the whole massage was. I put down on my entry card that I was looking for touch and relaxation and there was a lot of both. Corrie also incorporates a lot of stretching in the massage and the combination of stretching you into a pose to better isolate a muscle and work on it was tremendous.

I did the 90 minutes to start and get the experience and it was magical. I swear I don’t work there or get a free toaster for writing this. It was just that good and I felt like she deserved a well thought out review from a first-time visitor. I’ll be back. I may move closer to cut down on the commute!

You know what? In 1968, it wasn't the summer of love for most who were living through it. That's a brand history has applied. I was born and it looked like the world was going to hell in a hand basket, not that I was consciously aware of it. The term summer of love is something Madison Ave made up after the fact. This is a real problem. I have a solution. Tribal communities. It involves tiny houses and like-minded people living in a slightly communal nature with low-cost real property to help people get into the system. Real property rights are why we came to America. Trust me, it wasn't religion, and escaping feudalism was worth dying for. Now, we are seeing those rights and opportunities for fewer and fewer people.

Young adults face delays in homeownership due to high prices and interest rates, and low inventory, with first-time buyer rates at record lows.
