“People first" is one of the many reasons Tombe Realty has been so successful. Testimonials and word of mouth had driven their business all these years. Dick genuinely cared about the people he came in contact with. It didn't matter if he had just met you for the first time or had known you his whole life, you were important to him. He took pride in helping first-time home buyers accomplish their dream of owning a home, never hesitating to contribute his commission toward their new home down payment on many occasions. Dick believed everyone should have the chance to own a home. He was trusted because he valued honesty, integrity and work ethics. His word was his bond, executed by a handshake. He commanded a room with endearing confidence and was a natural leader that attracted people. He had the charisma of Ronald Reagan and the grit of John Wayne. Linda has always been involved in the youth and scholarship programs through Junior Miss, Dairy Princess, Miss Apple Blossom Pageant and Miss Sonoma County. The Pellascini’s have a very generous spirit. During fishing season when Richard and Chris would catch the daily limit, on the way home, they would drop fish off to families in the Sebastopol community. Richard and Linda are pillars of the community and truly love their Sebastopol neighbors.
They were the first business owners to install fire sprinklers and ADA accessibility on the Pellascini building on Main Street. Richard served as Chamber of Commerce President in 1968. During this time, Richard and Linda along with the board were responsible for adding the Apple Blossom Parade to the Sebastopol Apple Blossom Festival. Richard and Linda played a big role in the revitalization of downtown Sebastopol back in the 60’s.
