SWHAP provides down payment/closing cost assistance to moderate-income households employed within the City of Sedona, working towards their dream of homeownership in the beautiful Verde Valley area. Eligible first-time homebuyers can receive up to $40,000 in assistance.

El Programa de asistencia para la propiedad de vivienda de la fuerza laboral de Sedona (SWHAP) tiene como objetivo hacer realidad ese sueño. Our improved Down Payment Assistance Programs now offer up to $40,000 for down-payment and closing cost assistance (including rate buy-downs), instead of $25,000.

The program, which is managed by Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona, provides all Sedona workers help with their down payment for a home purchase in the Verde Valley.

DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SEEKING APPLICANTS

Did you know that the City provides down payment assistance to qualified first-time Verde Valley homebuyers?

The program, administered by Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona, provides up to $25,000 to homebuyers working full-time for any employer within the city limits.

Details include:
• A home purchase can be anywhere in the Verde Valley
• For every $1,000 of the buyer's funds, the city will provide $2,500 toward a down-payment up to $25,000.
• The buyer must owner-occupy the home.
• When/If the home is sold, the city is repaid using an equity-share formula.
