***IMPORTANT TRAFFIC CLOSURE – I-35 NEX PROJECT***
As part of the I-35 Northeast Expansion Program, TxDOT will close the eastbound Loop 1604 main lanes at Lookout Road for bridge beam work.

This closure is scheduled for Thursday, August 13th and Friday, August 14th, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.

DETOUR INFORMATION
All lanes of the eastbound Loop 1604 main lanes at Lookout Road will be closed. Traffic will be detoured along the eastbound Loop 1604 frontage road to the Pat Booker Road for access to the eastbound Loop 1604 main lanes.

All closures are weather permitting and subject to change.

**UPDATE** 7/16/2026 - 10:30am
All roads in Selma are currently open to traffic, including Evans Road, Lookout Road, and FM 1518.

Please continue to drive with caution as there may be some pockets of water on the roadways. We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates as they become necessary.

**ROAD CLOSURE ALERT**
Evans Road between I-35 and Nacogdoches Road is closed due to flooding from the Cibolo Creek.

Lookout Road is also closed at Evans Road due to flooding.

Please avoid these areas and use alternate routes. We will continue to provide updates if additional road closures become necessary. Information will also be available on the City of Selma Fire Department and Police Department pages.

Please use caution while traveling and never drive through flooded roadways.

**IMPORTANT TxDOT/NEX WEEKEND CONSTRUCTION CLOSURE NOTICE** May 8th to May 9th!
As part of the I-35 NEX Central program, TxDOT/ANC will conduct a full closure of the northbound and southbound I-35 mainlanes this Friday, May 8th

Full closure of northbound and southbound I-35 from Olympia Pkwy. to Evans Rd. for a concrete deck pour.

Main lane Closure: 8 p.m. Friday, May 8 to 7 a.m. Saturday May 9, 2026 .

Closures are subject to weather conditions and may be postponed, as necessary.
