A Little Labor Day Weekend REALTOR Math… 😂

While many of us will be trying to squeeze in a little holiday time, REALTORS are also doing some serious math jujitsu.

It’s called …Computation of Time.

Five days or less? Business days.
Six days or more? Calendar days.
Weekend or holiday? Keep counting.

And sometimes it can feel a little like:

On the fifth day, after a full moon, when you see a four-leaf clover at noon…your contingency deadline expires.🌕🍀😂

Okay…maybe it doesn’t quite work like that. But there are definitely days when being a REALTOR feels like being one of the Great Keepers of Time…is a job from the Ancient Greek Gods of time!

We count. We calculate. We double-check. And then we check it one more time. 😂

Another note about time…just like that…we are welcoming in sweet September! As summer begins to wind down and we settle into the slower rhythm of fall, I hope we all take a moment to make the most of the moments we’re given and hold on to the memories we’re making.

And as we celebrate Labor Day, let’s remember and honor those who came before us and fought for better wages, safer workplaces and shorter hours.

Wishing everyone a wonderful, safe and relaxing Labor Day. 🇺🇸

And to all the Great Keepers of Time out there…may your deadlines be clear and your calendars be kind.

It’s been a minute. And if you’re wondering where we’ve been…

Working.😊

The Peninsula real estate market has kept RE/MAX Prime hopping—contracts, inspections, negotiations, closings, unexpected twists and all the little things that happen in between.

But somewhere in the middle of all that, we’ve had a chance to look around and think:

Yep. This is exactly where we want to be.

We’re growing, too. A new broker has joined us, Pippa Dressel. More growth coming in October, and we couldn’t be more excited about the people becoming part of this next chapter.

Maybe that’s our North Star right now—not having everything figured out, but continuing to build something we believe in, with people we genuinely enjoy being around.

Behind the Doors at RE/MAX Prime✨

Continuing on with...Behind the Doors at REMAX PRIME! ✨

One of the things I love most about our office is that the true measure of a real estate company isn’t just found in sales numbers or signs in yards—it’s found in the people behind the doors and the way they show up for others.

When I started at RE/MAX Prime, I began a Friday newsletter tradition a portion of it was called “The Extra Mile.” It was a small way to recognize the moments that often happen behind the scenes—the problem-solving, the compassion, and the dedication that clients may never fully see but absolutely experience.

Over the coming weeks, I’d love to share some of those “oldies but goodies” because they represent the heart of our office culture.

This weeks Extra Mile “oldie but goodie” goes to Trisha Cobb…

February 2025…The extra mile goes to Trisha. She has more than a full plate! Even though I have only had brief interactions with Trisha, each one has told me something about her. I admire her for her resourcefulness and passion for this business. Literally within 15 minutes she helped me find a property address from a photo in a very old photo album…who does that! She is an amazing “sleuther” but more importantly she is genuine. Thanks for keeping it real. Sending many blessings your way.

July 2026…Today Trisha continues to be a North Star for so many. She generously gives her time to those in need. Long story but she has been helping a man that has been harassed by an HOA…she referred him to an attorney and has spent many hours helping him organize documents for the attorney. Just another example of what happens behind the doors.

Thank you Trisha…you make this world a better place.

Congratulations to Kazia on her first closing representing a buyer. Nothing about her first buyer transaction was straightforward... buyers were contingent and received a bump notice. They were not deterred and kept up the hunt. Kazia found them a home that was just as sweet as the one they lost. That can be a difficult task when a buyer has lost out on their first choice. Kazia's calmness, communication and positive attitude got everything to the finish line. She built a strong relationship by being herself. No doubt these buyers will be sharing their great home buying experience! BRAVO!

**This week’s Extra Mile Moment: Trina**

The night before a closing, a seller received an unexpected call—there had been a wine mishap on the light-colored carpet during a neighbor’s congratulatory visit.

Trina immediately stepped in. She communicated with everyone involved, kept the seller informed, and went to work finding a solution. Within two hours, she had connected with a vendor who came out and saved the carpet, allowing the closing to move forward as planned.

That is what going the extra mile looks like.

It’s not always the big moments that define us—it’s the little moments of resourcefulness, professionalism, and care when our clients need us most.
