Ever notice how every great house story begins with a tiny moment of panic?

Another one of my favorite scenes from Under the Tuscan Sun is when she realizes her dreamy villa also comes with…surprises. Hidden problems. Strange noises. Endless “treasures” left behind by previous owners. Suddenly the romance meets reality.

That’s homeownership in a nutshell.

No matter if the house is brand new, 100 years old, a condo, a cottage, or a forever dream home…almost every buyer experiences a little buyers remorse after closing.

It’s practically a rite of passage:

“Did we do the right thing?”
“Why is that making that sound?”
“Wait…how many trips to Home Depot is normal?”

And then, little by little, something magical happens.

The house becomes yours.
The quirks become stories.
The projects become memories.
The “treasures” become part of the charm.

At RE/MAX Prime we remind buyers that perfection isn’t what makes a house feel like home. It’s the life that unfolds inside of it…and sometimes the funniest stories come from the unexpected surprises hiding in the garage, attic, or basement.

Every home has a personality.
Every homeowner has a moment of “what have we done?”
And every great story starts with taking the keys anyway!

The brokers at RE/MAX Prime are here to walk beside you through every step of the home buying journey…from the first showing to the first “surprise” and all the memories that follow.

We got you…☎️

One of my favorite movie quotes from *Under the Tuscan Sun* talks about how “the house protects the dreamer” and how life can still surprise us, even late in the game.

That idea has always stayed with me because a home is never just walls and windows. A home becomes the backdrop for second chances, family dinners, hard seasons, celebrations, healing, laughter, and dreams we haven’t even imagined yet.

Sometimes people think they missed their moment for a fresh start, a new chapter, or the home they have always wanted. But life has a funny way of surprising us when we least expect it.

At RE/MAX Prime, we know buying or selling a home is about far more than real estate. It’s about finding your four walls — the place where your story unfolds and your dreams are protected.

Whether you are just beginning, starting over, downsizing, growing, or finally taking the leap you have talked about for years, our brokers are some of the best in the business and would be honored to help guide you home.

Because sometimes the right house finds you exactly when you need it most. ☎️ us…we would love to help.

Big congratulations to Michael McAleer and his incredible team at RE/MAX Prime on this outstanding achievement.

With a true team approach and an unwavering commitment to exceptional service, Michael has earned RE/MAX’s prestigious Pinnacle Award — an honor reserved for the top 1% of RE/MAX agents in all of North America.

This level of recognition doesn’t happen by accident. It represents years of hard work, trust earned from clients, consistency, professionalism, and a WHOLE LOT of real estate successfully navigated for the people we serve.

We are proud to see Michael and his team recognized in the Peninsula Daily News and even more proud to have them as part of our office family.

Congratulations on an incredible accomplishment — very well deserved. Bravo…my friend. 👏

Memorial Day has a way of changing meaning as we grow older.

As kids, it felt like the unofficial start of summer… sunshine, long weekends, family gatherings, and slowing down for a moment.

As adults, it becomes impossible not to think about the empty chairs someone else lives with every single day.

Freedom is often spoken about in this country, but Memorial Day quietly reminds us it was paid for personally by families who lost someone they loved. That sacrifice deserves remembrance.

At its heart, this day is not about guilt or performance—it’s about gratitude. About living well, loving deeply, appreciating the people around us, and never taking for granted the freedoms we enjoy.

From all of us at RE/MAX, we pause this Memorial Day in remembrance and gratitude.

If you are looking for that special gift for someone who seems to have everything — or a closing gift that will leave a lasting impression — look no further than Spoonful of Comfort.

I recently received one of their care packages, and it was truly an amazing gift experience. Every item felt thoughtful and high quality, from the delicious soup and rolls to the cookies and beautifully packaged extras. It was one of those gifts that immediately makes you feel cared for and appreciated.

Whether you are sending comfort, gratitude, congratulations, or simply a little love, it is a memorable and meaningful gift that stands out. Super fun and memorable gift.

A little history about the company:
Spoonful of Comfort was founded in memory of Marti Wymer's mom, and that continues to shape how she thinks about care. She often thinks about people’s intentions when they send a gift, and it’s important to her that every care package is prepared as mindfully and as personally as she would treat a gift of her own.

Please join us in wishing Happy 75th Birthday to an extraordinary woman…Mrs. Liz Parks.

At just 18 years old, she came to America with her family carrying dreams, courage, determination. From those beginnings, she created a beautiful life — a marriage, a family, a respected business, and a lasting legacy in the Sequim community. Through her RE/MAX franchise and her generosity, she has given so much back to the people around her.

What we admire most is her spirit. Her energy, her ideas, her drive, and her resilience. Honestly, she can run circles around most people half her age.

She is a fighter in every sense of the word. Life has not always asked her to walk an easy road, and as a woman of color and an immigrant in this country, she has carried burdens and battles many people will never fully understand. Yet she kept building, leading, giving, and showing up — often while also defending herself against nonsense she should never have had to endure in the first place.

We hope she sees herself the way so many of us see her— accomplished, strong, intelligent, compassionate, and deeply valuable. She has earned her place, her success, and respect.

And Liz…after 75 years, I think you’ve officially earned the right to say exactly what you think… although, to be fair, I’m not sure you ever waited for permission anyway. 😂❤️

Seventy-five years of courage, perseverance, love, hard work, and making things happen is something worth celebrating in a very big way.

Happy Birthday to a remarkable woman who has made a difference in countless lives — and who still has more energy than the rest of us combined.

Some traditions are simply too special not to continue ❤️

Last week, RE/MAX Prime was honored to help carry on a beloved Sequim Irrigation Festival tradition — treating the festival button design winner and friends to a celebratory lunch!

This year’s talented winner, Iris Carlquist-Bundy of Olympic Peninsula Academy, enjoyed lunch at Oak Table Cafe after arriving in style in the festival royalty van with Executive Director Michelle Rhodes.

Our new owner, Jerrin Fiorini, was proud to continue this sponsorship tradition started by Liz and Richard Parks, who have long supported the spirit and heart of our community.

At RE/MAX Prime, we believe the little traditions matter — especially the ones that celebrate creativity, young people, and the hometown connections that make Sequim such a wonderful place to live.

Congratulations again, Iris! 🎨🌷

Some careers are measured in spreadsheets and sales reports.

Real estate? It’s more like a soundtrack. 🎶

Every day brings a different rhythm — the nervous first-time buyer beat, the bittersweet “selling the family home” ballad, the high-energy multiple-offer dance remix, and those beautiful closing-day victory songs. 😂

As Brokers we get a front row seat to some of life’s biggest moments. Not just contracts and keys… but fresh starts, growing families, hard-earned dreams, brave leaps, and new chapters.

And honestly? What an incredible honor that is.

This business will keep you humble, keep you learning, keep you laughing, and occasionally have you singing loudly in your car after a long day wondering how one transaction can contain 47 plot twists and a missing addendum. 😅

But at the heart of it all, this career is about people.

Helping someone find “the one” — whether it’s a home, an investment, or a fresh beginning — never gets old.

So here’s to the music makers of real estate… the negotiators, encouragers, problem-solvers, late-night contract writers, and dream builders. We may not always hit every note perfectly, but together we create something pretty meaningful.

And if real estate had a chorus line, it would go something like this:

“RE/MAX brokers are the best in the business — and always ready to receive the honor of helping you with your real estate needs.

Talk soon!
