Most days, as Realtors we count our blessings and feel like some of luckiest people around…because of the work we are privileged to do.

As the Designated Broker for RE/MAX Prime, I have the privilege of being surrounded by truly stellar brokers—not only within our office but throughout the Sequim real estate community. Every Wednesday at 8:00 a.m., the Sequim Realtors Association brings us together with great speakers, valuable education, and then we head out in carloads to tour homes throughout our beautiful area.

Touring homes is always one of the most interesting parts of my week, but what I treasure most are the conversations, laughter, friendships, and camaraderie shared along the way. Those moments are priceless.

On this day, I tried to capture a magnificent eagle soaring above us. My video skills badly failed me—the eagle never quite made the cut—but what I did capture was something even better: the joy, laughter, and easy friendship of the incredible people I get to spend my days with.

So here's looking at you, sweet Sequim. I am grateful to live and work in such a special community.

Congratulations, Colleen!

What an incredible chapter you have completed with the Clallam County Economic Development Council. Your leadership, vision, and dedication to strengthening our community have made a lasting impact on Clallam County and the North Olympic Peninsula.

While the EDC's loss is certainly Team McAleer's gain, we are thrilled to welcome you into this new chapter alongside Michael. Your experience, professionalism, and deep roots in our community will be tremendous assets to your clients, Team McAleer, and the RE/MAX Prime family.

Ever notice how every great house story begins with a tiny moment of panic?

Another one of my favorite scenes from Under the Tuscan Sun is when she realizes her dreamy villa also comes with…surprises. Hidden problems. Strange noises. Endless “treasures” left behind by previous owners. Suddenly the romance meets reality.

One of my favorite movie quotes from *Under the Tuscan Sun* talks about how “the house protects the dreamer” and how life can still surprise us, even late in the game.

Memorial Day has a way of changing meaning as we grow older.

As kids, it felt like the unofficial start of summer… sunshine, long weekends, family gatherings, and slowing down for a moment.

As adults, it becomes impossible not to think about the empty chairs someone else lives with every single day.

Freedom is often spoken about in this country, but Memorial Day quietly reminds us it was paid for personally by families who lost someone they loved. That sacrifice deserves remembrance.

At its heart, this day is not about guilt or performance—it’s about gratitude. About living well, loving deeply, appreciating the people around us, and never taking for granted the freedoms we enjoy.
