Dawn Davidson Orso and I are so proud of our baby girl! Mia has made her commitment to play college soccer at Syracuse University beginning in 2027! PROUD DAD!!! Starting sophomore year at a new school is tough….especially when it is an hour from home. Mia handled a demanding schedule, demanding classes, and a new social scene with so much maturity. I’m so impressed and proud of her…….Way to go Mia!!!! ❤️

Today was an incredibly POWERFUL full circle life moment:

The Ohio State woman’s lacrosse team played their first game of the 2025 season in honor of cancer research and it was themed “who we’re fighting for”. This also happened to be Olivia’s first official college game so it was a really special day anyway.

In a video produced by OSU; Olivia announced she was playing for her mom (8 year breast cancer survivor) and me (4 year head and neck cancer survivor) . The irony is that we also knew precisely who we were fighting for through tough times so that……we could be at all of our kids “firsts” like today!!!

Cancer doesn’t need to be a curse. In our case, it gave our family the blessing of clarity for true priorities, appreciation for each day together and gratitude for the oncology professionals who saved our lives like Dr’s Rodney Taylor, Carol Kaplan Tweed, Luqman Dad, Tripp Holton and radiation/chemo specialist Nicole Schrack Severson, Adrienne Scerbo Holmes, Wendy Kiel Hooper and so so many others who dedicate their lives to saving lives!!!

And BTW, OSU knocked off #15 Denver 9-5.

Myth: “nobody buys a home in the winter”

Fact: 34% of the available waterfront inventory is under contract.

Common behavioral trait of a waterfront buyer is to take their time and patiently wait until the “right” property becomes available for their needs. Seasonality is an allusion because so many sellers wait until the spring….. hence creating more options for the ALREADY willing, able and ready buyers!

How do elections affect home sales in the United States?????

Three Key Facts:
🏠 Home sales went up in the year following 9 out of the last 11 elections.

🏠The two years they declined were 1981 (Reagan) and 1989 (Bush).

🏠Home sales have risen after EACH of the last 8 elections. (‘92,’96,’00,’04,’08,’12,’16,’20)
