I don’t have dump trucks or heavy machinery, but I’ve got saws, shovels, generators, Blackstones, grills and big trailers. I’d like to load up and at a minimum come and cook a warm meal for people and help any way I can. Let people charge devices. Not sure if I can reach Hartford, pretty confident I can get into Newport several ways. I obviously don’t want to be in the way of workers but somebody has to help those that are doing the heavy lifting. If anyone has anyone contacts or volunteer groups already organized, please connect me. I’d like to be at food city in Sevierville for a bit in the morning if anybody would like to come help with water/ food donations that I can take to cook. I’m thinking burgers, tacos, etc. I’d like to take a full trailer and come back with nothing! Our neighboring communities helped us after the fires, it’s only right we help them after the floods! Please reach out, I’m only one man but I can’t just sit and watch people suffer while we watch football in the A/C.
